  7. Let's make a story. Add zero+ sentences for every commit:
  8. CHÄPTER 1:
  9. It was a dark and blinky night; the rain fell in torrents -- except at
  10. occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which
  11. swept up the streets (for it is in London that our scene lies), rattling along
  12. the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that
  13. struggled against the elements. A hooded figure emerged.
  14. It was a Domo-Kun.
  15. "What took you so long?", inquired his wife.
  16. Silence. Oblivious to his silence, she continued, "Did Mr. Usagi enjoy the
  17. waffles you brought him?" "You know him, he's not one to forego a waffle,
  18. no matter how burnt," he snickered.
  19. The pause was filled with the sound of compile errors.
  20. CHAPTER 2:
  21. The jelly was as dark as night, and just as runny.
  22. The Domo-Kun shuddered, remembering the way Mr. Usagi had speared his waffles
  23. with his fork, watching the runny jelly spread and pool across his plate,
  24. like the blood of a dying fawn. "It reminds me of that time --" he started, as
  25. his wife cut in quickly: "-- please. I can't bear to hear it.". A flury of
  26. images coming from the past flowed through his mind.
  27. "You recall what happened on Mulholland drive?" The ceiling fan rotated slowly
  28. overhead, barely disturbing the thick cigarette smoke. No doubt was left about
  29. when the fan was last cleaned.
  30. There was a poignant pause.
  31. CHAPTER 3:
  32. Mr. Usagi felt that something wasn't right. Shortly after the Domo-Kun left he
  33. began feeling sick. He thought out loud to himself, "No, he wouldn't have done
  34. that to me." He considered that perhaps he shouldn't have pushed so hard.
  35. Perhaps he shouldn't have been so cold and sarcastic, after the unimaginable
  36. horror that had occurred just the week before.
  37. Next time, there won't be any sushi. Why sushi with waffles anyway? It's like
  38. adorning breakfast cereal with halibut -- shameful.
  39. CHAPTER 4:
  40. The taste of stale sushi in his mouth the next morning was unbearable. He
  41. wondered where the sushi came from as he attempted to wash the taste away with
  42. a bottle of 3000¥ sake. He tries to recall the cook's face. Green? Probably.
  43. CHAPTER 5:
  44. Many tears later, Mr. Usagi would laugh at the memory of the earnest,
  45. well-intentioned Domo-Kun. Another day in the life. That is when he realized that
  46. life goes on.

  81. Give not thyself up, then, to fire, lest it invert thee, deaden thee; as for
  82. the time it did me. There is a wisdom that is woe; but there is a woe that is
  83. madness. And there is a Catskill eagle in some souls that can alike dive down
  84. into the blackest gorges, and soar out of them again and become invisible in
  85. the sunny spaces. And even if he for ever flies within the gorge, that gorge
  86. is in the mountains; so that even in his lowest swoop the mountain eagle is
  87. still higher than other birds upon the plain, even though they soar.

  96. And lo, in the year 2014, there was verily an attempt to upgrade to GCC 4.8 on
  97. the Android bots, and it was good. Except on one bot, where it was bad. And
  98. lo, the change was reverted, and GCC went back to 4.6, where code is slower
  99. and less optimized. And verily did it break the build, because artifacts had
  100. been created with 4.8, and alignment was no longer the same, and a great
  101. sadness descended upon the Android GN buildbot, and it did refuseth to build
  102. any more. But the sheriffs thought to themselves: Placebo! Let us clobber the
  103. bot, and perhaps it will rebuild with GCC 4.6, which hath worked for many many
  104. seasons. And so they modified the whitespace file with these immortal lines,
  105. and visited it upon the bots, that great destruction might be wrought upon
  106. their outdated binaries. In clobberus, veritas.
