Description
We're thinking of providing at least two installers:
- a smaller installer that contains only the core of GCC4TI (like the current TIGCC installer), possibly (please give input) with the capability to download, upon install, commonly used additional components such as (but not limited to, please give input):
- TILP, VTI, TIEmu, PedroM + SDK;
- PreOS, ExtGraph?, Genlib, etc.
(users must be able to download only a subset of those additional components)
- a larger installer, suitable for offline installations, which contains the core of GCC4TI + additional components, and proposes the user to install the embedded additional components.
Perhaps we should not be too ambitious for the first public release ? That is, maybe we shouldn't make the larger installer at first, and maybe even the first version of the smaller installer shouldn't have download capabilities ?

About the installer: I just noticed that the CoLinux? installer (which is based on NSIS) has the features we needed: after installation, a filesystem image is downloaded and installed. We should have a look at its sources http://colinux.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/colinux/tags/0.7.3/src/colinux/os/winnt/user/install/
